Beautiful Smiles Are Part of My Story — And My Family Legacy
My passion for creating confident, beautiful smiles is rooted in family. I grew up watching my mother, a pediatric dentist and researcher, transform children’s lives one smile at a time. Years later, I married Silvia, a prosthodontist — so you could say smiles truly surround me. But it wasn’t just their paths that shaped mine — my own orthodontic journey gave me firsthand experience of what a confident smile can do.
That foundation inspired me to become an orthodontist and dedicate my career to helping patients — kids, teens, and adults — achieve smiles they’re proud to share with the world.
Advanced Training & Personalized Orthodontic Care
My journey in dentistry began at the Universidad Central de Venezuela, where I proudly earned my dental degree and graduated in the top 1% of my class. From there, I pursued advanced specialty training in the U.S., completing a postdoctoral Certificate in Orthodontics and a Master’s in Dental Sciences from the University of Puerto Rico.
During my orthodontic residency, I was honored with the Jaime De Jesús Scholar Award for outstanding clinical and academic performance. My research earned national recognition and was nominated for the Charley Schultz Resident Scholar Award, which celebrates innovative orthodontic research that shapes the future of treatment and patient outcomes.
I’m proud to be a Board-Certified Orthodontist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics — a distinction held by only a small percentage of orthodontists in the U.S., and even fewer here in Sugar Land, Texas.
