During your visit, Dr. Sebastian Rodriguez will conduct a comprehensive orthodontic evaluation, explaining the recommended treatment plan in detail and addressing all your questions, whether you’re a parent seeking care for your child or an adult considering treatment.

What Is the Purpose of the Initial Orthodontist Consultation?

The initial consultation is all about understanding your needs and planning your path to a healthy, confident smile. During this visit, we’ll answer important questions such as:

What Happens After the First Exam?

If orthodontic care is recommended during your first visit, we may take diagnostic records right away or schedule a follow-up if needed. These records give our team the full picture to design a customized treatment plan just for you. In some cases, treatment may begin the same day. If your case is more complex, we’ll schedule another appointment to gather additional diagnostics and ensure everything is ready before starting care.

We also coordinate with your general dentist to make sure you’re ready to begin treatment safely. If needed, we’ll consult with any specialists to ensure your unique case is taken care of from start to finish.

What Are Diagnostic Records?

Diagnostic records are essential for planning effective and personalized orthodontic treatment. These typically include:

• Digital study models of your teeth

• Panoramic and cephalometric X-rays and tracings

How Much Does Orthodontic Treatment Cost?

The cost of braces or Invisalign depends on the complexity of your case. During the initial visit, our treatment coordinator will review:

We accept most insurance plans and offer multiple ways to make orthodontic care affordable for every family.

What’s Included in Your Investment?

When you begin treatment at Beam Orthodontics, your investment covers:

• Comprehensive diagnostic records: X-rays, models, and treatment planning

• Active treatment fees for early intervention, full braces, and Invisalign

• All necessary orthodontic appliances and office visits

• A final set of retainers (for comprehensive treatment patients)

Note: Appliances are designed to last throughout treatment. If replacements are needed due to loss or misuse, a replacement fee may apply.

What’s Not Included?

While we strive to offer inclusive care, your treatment plan does not cover:

• Dental work is performed at offices outside our practice

• Additional treatment is required due to injury or TMJ complications

• Orthognathic surgery or unexpected procedures beyond standard care

Insurance and Assignment of Benefits

We work with most insurance providers and accept the assignment of benefits whenever possible, reducing your out-of-pocket expenses. If your plan doesn’t allow direct assignment, we’ll help file your claims so you can receive reimbursement.

Please notify us right away if your insurance policy changes before treatment is complete — this helps us keep your financial plan accurate and up to date.
